WHO Announced “No need to panic” because of H5N1

After the COVID-19 outbreak, the new strain of Bird flu transmission is a new alarming sign. Wild birds are triggering explosive spread into every corner of the globe. But many mammal species and growing fears of the pandemic. Fear of H5N1 is much more lethal than COVID-19. Still now according to medical research, H5N1 shows a lower risk to people but the outbreak can be lethal for other mammals.

According to multiple health experts, there are actual need to worry if the food is cooked properly. There is no such proof that this virus can spread through properly cooked poultry products. You have to avoid contact with all types of infected poultry, especially the ill and dying chicken.

The recent spreading of influenza in dairy cattle in the U.S. worried some of the scientists who are working on global outbreaks and viruses.  The first case of the H5N1 bird flu strain appeared in North America among migratory birds in late 2021 and soon it spread to the different poultry farms. The current outbreaks were affected by many new bird species and persisted for longer than the previous outbreaks.

Dr. Peter Rabinowitz, director of the UW Center for One Health Research says

 “We are in fairly unprecedented, uncharted territory, globally in relationship to avian influenza,”
